Bazaar Group has been awarded the Continuing Excellence level of the Better Health at Work Award, recognising their ongoing efforts to support their team's health and wellbeing.
“Our team of 17 health advocates drive our health and wellbeing plans,” said Caitlin Hamilton, Lead Health Advocate and Senior HR Advisor at Bazaar Group. “Achievement of this award is a testament to the team’s commitment to improving awareness of health issues and supporting everyone’s wellbeing.”
Bazaar Group has taken a holistic, education-focused, employee-led approach to their health and wellbeing program. Their focus on employee-led campaigns means the role of their Health Advocates and campaigns are based on what their team is interested in learning more about.
“We’re not stopping here and have already started defining our plans for the next year based on our team’s interests and feedback,” said Caitlin. “We’re now looking forward to supporting local businesses who are getting started with the Better Health at Work award framework as we work towards achieving the highest level of the award – Maintaining Excellence – in 2024.”
Helen Svensson, HR Director of Bazaar Group, noted that the Better Health at Work award has had a measurable impact on employee engagement, recruitment, retention and productivity, stating, “The values of our business strongly align with those of BHAW and the pathway to ‘Continuing Excellence’ has had a clearly beneficial impact on our team.”
Cameron Armstrong, Health Improvement Practitioner Specialist, praised Bazaar Group’s commitment to their team’s health and wellbeing, saying, “Bazaar Group has completed a superb submission this year and has included some great elements along the way. The commitment to improving its staff's health and wellbeing whilst at work is exemplary, with special note to the renovations which took staff health and wellbeing into account, as well as the breakfast club expanding to have food available throughout the working day, this is commendable to see!”
Bazaar Group sees supporting their team’s health and wellbeing as essential to their success, which was evident in their office redesign that ensured their environment was best for the team's diverse need and preferences, providing agile workspaces for collaboration.
Bazaar Group is thrilled to have achieved this level of the Better Health at Work Award and plans to continue improving their health and wellbeing program to maintain their ‘Continuing Excellence’ status.
