In October 2024, our Marketing Manager, Catherine, will be taking on the Vietnam Hill Tribe Trek. The trek will raise vital funds for a cause close to our hearts, St Oswald's Hospice.
St Oswald's Hospice does such fantastic work across the North East and the wider UK, providing specialist care for those of all ages, with life-limiting conditions.
Starting on Saturday 26th October, Catherine will fly to Vietnam, taking on the Trek of a life time. Catherine will be trekking 6-7 hours/20km a day for 5 days, across the Pù Luông Nature Reserve in Northern Vietnam. After completing the trek across the reserve, she will also be participating in a Community Project, completing refurbishment type work for a local palliative care unit.

Since Bazaar Group have been a long term supporter of St. Oswald’s, I’ve always admired what they do and the essential end of life care they provide, so I’m really happy to be able to raise money for such a good cause. Its also offering me an opportunity to challenge myself physically and visit a country that’s always been on my bucket list, so it really feels like all the stars aligned and I was meant to do it! I’ve been preparing by doing 1 – 2 long hikes per month, and increasing the amount of walking I’m doing daily , but I’ve still got a long way to go. Fundraising is going well so far, people have been very generous with donations and I’ve been doing loads of collections, raffles and tombolas to help! - Catherine
